Main Street Assets was formed to give small cities and towns powerful tools at affordable prices. We believe that small towns are the backbone of American culture, and they deserve to benefit from the advances in technology available today.
Drawing on over 30 years of experience working with big and small governments, we know that small towns need new tools to support their citizens and their employees. We also know the difficulties in budgeting money with limited resources. We started our journey with Asset Tracker.
Traditional Asset Management systems require thousands of dollars to build and maintain, then require hundreds of hours of work to add assets, map them, and create reports and workflows. GIS software alone can cost over $30,000 for a single user. Once the system is up and running, the Public Works teams have to spend hours in training and data entry, all while continuing their daily work. Our team has implemented these types of systems in the past, and we decided there needed to be a better way.
Main Street Assets is the result. It requires 5 minutes to set up an entire team. A user doesn't need to be "technical" to use it. Just use your phone as if you're finding directions or ordering takeout.
We then added Call Tracker, based on feedback from hundreds of City Managers. A City can better serve its citizens if it has visibility into the trends of their calls. We designed Call Tracker to give insight into the performance and responsiveness of a City to its citizens, in a simple, affordable package.
Small towns should enjoy the same benefits as large cities, so there is no long-term contract or software setup needed.
